User guide
Neumorphism simulates an element emerging from or sinking into the background. It combines a dark and a light shadow placed diametrically opposite, on a background the same color as the page.
- The element background must match the page background.
- Watch the contrast: this style can hurt accessibility.
FAQ
Why doesn't it work on pure white?
Neumorphism needs a very light gray so the light shadow stays visible. Use e.g. #e0e5ec.
Is neumorphism accessible?
Not always: contrast is low. Reserve it for decorative elements or reinforce text and borders.
